Save the 67 bigblock

This Chevy was sold brand new in Sweden, taken into traffic 030267 and was equipped with quite a power package underneath the hood.
The car is a 1967 Chevrolet Caprice 2door ht with a 396 engine. 396 was the size on the V8 but when the recent owner bought it from Hälsingland the big block had been extracted and sold. In its place was a 350 which is a real downer but the owner managed to track down
the actual original motor and bought it.
Out with the 350. But before putting back the original motor the entire car needed a complete overhaul which wasn’t an easy thing to do.
The Chevy was motor-less and was put aside.
At first the car was stored in a steel utility room with adobe floor for five years but the rust soon crept up to it and started to feast on the body and the new, white interior started molding. It was then pulled out and parked outside the house. Three years later it’s still there, in the grass, waiting to get a motor under the hood and new steel were the rust has left its marks.
