Traditionally Canada had tried to increase their population through immigration so that the workforce and economy could build, grow, and exapnd.Immigrants make up one sixth of Canadas population. There have constantly been an incoming flow of immigrants into Canada but in 1913 there was a big rush of immigrants, 4000 people arrived that year making it the most immigrants coming in that Canada had ever seen.
Now-a-days Canada has a population of 34.88 million people.
Demography is the study of human populations. It is a very important system that every country around the world needs and uses for many different reasons. Countries use demographic data to predict what that country will need and the resources that will be needed in the coming years. They use demography for things such as schools, housing, and labour and come up with plans to sustain or improve the economy around them. Demography can also explain the cause and effects of population change within areas around the world. In 2007 the worlds population was 6.6 billion people and going down little by little ever since.
Stage 1
Hunting and Gathering:
In the early stages of history people were nomadic hunters and gatherers. Because their food source was unrelaible the population was unable to steadily grow. The population growth and decrease had many variables effecting it.
Stage 2
Agricultural Revolution:
Without this revolution technological advance would not have ben possible. When farming became succesful there were many food sources which allowed the population to increase.
Stage 3
Industrial Revolution:
BY the 1700's technology was taking over (mostly in Western Europe). More food and crops were being made faster and more efficiently, letting the population flourish.
