A child of war.
My grandmother Kulagina Galina is a child of war. She told me about her parents.
When the war began, she was four years old. Her parents were Sinyagina Tatyana
and Sinyagin Vasily Zakharov. They lived in Armavir at that time. My
grandmother’s mother was a teacher. Her father was a lieutenant in the Army.
Because of illness, he retired from the army. After graduating from a Pedagogical
Institute, he became a teacher too. They worked together in the Obukhovskaya
school until 1941.
The Great Patriotic War started. The Raykom party authorized my greatgrandfather to punch the collective farm animals in the direction of Moscow,
before the coming of the Germans. The great-grandmother with two children went
to her parents to Maloyaroslavitsky area situated near Moscow. When she arrived,
the Germans had already occupied their village called Vasisovo . Every day the
Germans went to fight with our army. One day our troops drove the Germans away
to the west. Retreating the Germans decided to burn Vasisovo and all the villages
on the way back. In 1944 my great-grandfather was killed in a battle.
