LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

WE PRODUCE THIS Annual Report to
highlight the past year's accomplishments.
We also do it to inspire you. We want you to
see what happens when you allow people’s
potential energy to go kinetic. Our goal is
to excite you about what we can accomplish
as we go forward as a TEAM. We want to
create, in each of you, the longing to continue
to push the boundaries of what we can achieve.
In 2018, we challenge you to get out of
your comfort zone and “Do Something Hard
for Someone Else”. Choose to do difficult
things for someone other than yourself. Push
your envelope, while helping someone else
push theirs.
This challenge will mean different things
to each of us – make phone calls, donate
time, raise money or join a team in your first
adventure race. Just get out there and break
boundaries together. This is where inspiration
happens. This is where you experience the
power of the human spirit. This is where you
learn to long for the immensity of the sea.
Since 2011, I have had the privilege of
serving World T.E.A.M. Sports as Chief
Operating Officer and more recently as
President and Chief Executive Officer.
As each of you know, my metric for measuring
success at our events is simple—If we impact
one life, we’ve succeeded. I can say this
because at our events, the life that has been
impacted has been my own. Each of you
has shown me what it truly means to go the
distance, to reach, to grow, to set a goal
and crush it. I stand in awe of what you have
accomplished. For this, I will be forever grateful.
To continue pushing boundaries, in October,
World T.E.A.M. Sports welcomed new
leadership. Jon Brideau, a Face of America
and Adventure Team Challenge Colorado
athlete, is taking our helm. Meanwhile, I am
transitioning to our national Board of Advisors.
Jon brings a wealth of skills and experience to
our TEAM and I’m excited to watch him guide
our organization to the next level.
