The water consumption indicator for the production of one unit of production at Kazakhstani plants is one of the lowest within Coca-Cola anywhere in the world. As part of its environmental activities, the company invests not only in improving technologies and processes in enterprises, but also finances projects to replenish natural water resources and improve the living conditions of local communities. Thus, the implementation of projects to restore water supply allows Coca-Cola to reimburse Kazakhstan 1.6 billion liters of water every year. This volume is three times the amount of water that the company used to produce drinks in Kazakhstan in 2017. 30 world monitor Reduced plastic and fuel consumption Coca-Cola also optimized the consumption of materials for packaging finished products. The weight of one plastic cap decreased by 0.85 grams, and the weight of one half-liter bottle by 6.9 grams. The share of recyclable waste from the company's production activities amounted to 90% in 2017. In addition, recently the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) introduced the Coca-Cola Almaty Bottlers JV LLP in the top 10 plants in terms of energy conservation. In 2017, the production of one litre of fuel and energy resources required 14% less than in 2016. This result once again confirms the company's position in the WWF ranking. Social development More than $ 4.5 million were invested in the implementation of social projects in 2013-2017. The company implements social projects in various areas, such as sports, education, and assistance to socially disadvantaged groups. Due to the company’s implementation of large-scale social projects in the field of sports, we actively influence its development and the promotion of a healthy and active lifestyle. Thus, the Coca-Cola Bylgary Dop youth football tournament rallied 1.2 million children from 6,200 schools in Kazakhstan, and was also twice awarded by UEFA as one of the best youth football tournaments in the world. The project of supporting women's entrepreneurship ‘Coсa-Cola Belesteri’ over the seven years of its existence has allowed more than 13,000 women to receive training in the basics of entrepreneurship and receive grants totaling more than $ 200,000 for the successful development of their own businesses. When assessing the effectiveness of investments in social development, it is important not to forget about the return on investment. In this sense, the youth social project ‘3.2.1 Start!’ can serve as a good example, since every dollar invested by a company in this project contributes to an additional social effect of $ 1.36. Customer support Not only does the company make an environmental and social contribution to the development of the country, but it also impacts consumers. For every bottle of soft drink purchased, Coca-Cola buyer invests 1% toward the social and environmental projects of the company.
