Life style Despite the frank simplicity of this easy mix (a simple mixed drink), adding exclusivity to it is not a difficult task – Kazakhstan bars serve gin and tonic with a slice of cucumber, slices of lemon and orange, berries or a sprig of thyme. But anyone can also enjoy this sumptuous cocktail at home for parties and events, the simplest yet most elegant classic. Now let's turn to how to choose the right gin. As already mentioned, changing the aroma of a cocktail is quite simple. The main thing is that the base of the drink correctly responds to the changes. Due to the fact that Beefeater gin stores a dozen botanicals (plant components) in its heart, combined into a complex but luxurious composition, experiments with various fillers and tonics will be enjoyed with 100% success. A traditional and very attractive serving of gin and tonic remains serving in a wine glass, which is called ‘Gin and Tonic Spanish style’, but of course, you can use a standard tall glass (highball). Be sure to save the Beefeater – Tonic Cocktail recipe: • Fill a glass of wine or a tall glass (highball) with ice to the top. • Measure out 50 ml of Beefeater gin (you can use a standard glass as a measuring tool) and pour it into the glass. • Top up with tonic water and gently mix. • Garnish with a slice of orange or lemon. If you want to give the drink berry notes you can use raspberries or strawberries. If you want to plunge into aromatic notes, then thyme, rosemary and even fresh cucumber will be an ideal choice.
