Aspassio
Aspassio Haronitaki is a Greek/French artist with
an international palmares and a worldwide recognition
from Leading Museums, Galleries and collectors. He has
lived in Paris since 1990 and has worked extensively
on the human body, and medical imagery (X-ray, MRI).
His latest work is the fruit of a long-term research
collaboration with a team of doctors, radiologists
and technicians from General Electric (GE). Several
companies have chosen Aspassio’s images for their
external communication.
He graduated in 1994 from Ecole Nationale Superieure
de Beaux-arts (Paris) with «felicitations du jury» from
the Studio of Christian Boltanski & Annete Messager.
In 1994 he studied for being Stage Director at Cal
Art Institute Los Angeles / California, but he forced to
return in Paris after a year. In 1999, Jean Hubert Martin,
(ex president of the Museum of Modern art Centre
Pompidou, MNAM and a major figure to the Art world),
suggests to Haronitaki to participate in the Biennale of
Lyon. From that moment, he engraved a swift course in
international art exhibitions of the major Museums and
Galleries, as MART TRENTO-ROVERETO Italy, PALAZZO
FORTI Italy, ZACHETA National Gallery of Art Warszawa,
Le Garage Moscow, Culturgest Caixa Geral de depositos
Lisbon etc. He participated in the Biennales of Venice,
Lyon, Moscow, Monténégro etc. Major Brands selected
Aspassio’s work for their communication.
In 2003, Haronitaki was inspired the “ABSOLUT
HARONITAKI “ for ABSOLUT Vodka, an advertising
campaign that held for 6 consecutive years in the News.
CNN came up with 8min film about Haronitaki’s work;
moreover, he was portrayed 6 times on the back cover
in TIME Magazine (international edition).
The same year he exhibited at the Venice Biennale
with the most important living artist, Louise Bourgeois.
