Erlan supervises a variety of EY projects in the region most of which are aimed at public sector reforms , including development of infrastructure , green energy and decarbonisation , regional integration , tax / customs policy and administration . Erlan has supported EUROBAK ’ s dialogue with the Government on a number of the investment climate related issues . Erlan plays an active role in other business associations as well , some of the most notable being his chairmanship of the KFICA , co-chairmanship of the FIC ’ s Investment Policy WG and membership in the AmCham Investment Climate Improvement Council . Erlan also sits on the Board of the Almaty Akimat ’ s Business Council chaired by the Akim .

Gordon Haskins is CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Al Hilal Bank Kazakhstan , having joined AHBK in November 2016 . AHBK is now part of the UAE ’ s 3rd largest banking group . He has 30 years of experience in banking and law . Prior to joining AHBK , Gordon was Country Executive , Chairman of the Management Board , and member of the Board of Directors of RBS Kazakhstan for 3 years prior to its sale in 2016 and , previously , was Chief Operating Officer for the capital markets and derivatives business for the EMEA region in RBS Group . He started his career working as a lawyer for nearly 12 years in Canada and the UK .

Victoria is a Partner in Dentons ’ Almaty office with over 20 years of experience and advises clients on a wide variety of Kazakhstan and international law issues , including energy , corporate , litigation , employment and IP / IT matters . She had advised clients on acquisition of assets and other interests in companies in the oil and gas , telecommunications and energy sectors . Victoria is a member of the Kazakhstan Bar Association ( KazBar ), Kazakhstan Petroleum Lawyers Association and American International Petroleum Lawyers Association ( AIPN ). Victoria also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the European Business Association of Kazakhstan ( EUROBAK ) for the past few years .

Oleg Khanin worked as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Business Development since 2009 . Mr . Khanin has been working in the Company since 1998 . During this time he held the positions of Assistant Chairman of the Management Board for Insurance Affairs , Auditor , Chief Underwriter of the Underwriting and Surveyors Department , Vice President for Insurance , Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Financial Affairs . Mr . Khanin ’ s career began in 1998 in Almaly District Tax Committee of Almaty City . Mr . Khanin graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Management . He was trained in the Finance Academy at the Government of the Russian Federation under the international professional program for insurance specialists .
Ibrahim Canliel
Chief Financial Officer , Air Astana
Ibrahim Canliel works for Air Astana as CFO and has been with the company since its early stages in 2003 . He undertook a range of senior management functions in the company prior to stepping up to his latest role in December 2017 . He started his career initially in tourism in Turkey during the 90 ’ s until he joined aviation with KLM in 1998 ; briefly in the Gulf and consequently in Central Asia . He has been in Kazakhstan for the past 23 years managing business units successfully during both upturns and downturns . Ibrahim holds a bachelor degree in Economics from Marmara University , an MBA at Bogazici University and more recently completed the Directors ’ Programme at Cranfield University . Ibrahim is married and has two twin daughters .
