I see the future in genetics . Today , we define chromosomes ; tomorrow we ’ ll come to the definition of a gene set and monogenic diseases . Not far off is the time when geneticists will be able to introduce gene engineering in the human embryo processes , so that we could correct the damaged genes to avoid the birth of a child with malformations .
Finally , the pharmacological agents that are being developed become more convenient for patients , and more personalized . I believe that we are on the right track and march in step with all modern global reproductive medicine .
To keep up , we not only participate in all major forums of reproductive medicine . We also organize the Kazakh Forum of the Association of Reproductive
Medicine , where all RT specialists of Kazakhstan take part . This year , the forum will take place in Astana . We expect at least 60 foreign speakers , who come to Kazakhstan every year . The Kazakh Association of Reproductive Medicine publishes its own magazine , where all specialists from international clinics in Kazakhstan and foreign researchers can post information .
This is a great contribution to the education and professional development of medical specialists in Kazakhstan . In addition to major events and forums that you organize and participate in , what else do you do for training RT doctors ? Please describe the specifics of educating doctors in Kazakhstan in general . Along with the Ministry of Health and patients , we are dissatisfied with the level of specialists in Kazakhstan . We are in contact with many primary medical care clinics , and their level leaves much to be desired . Therefore , almost along with the opening of our clinic we have opened the International Academy of Reproduction for specialists intending to work in the RT area and in IVF clinics . We provide training in the workplace , give lectures , conduct seminars and are provide the basis for our institutes – the Kazakh National Medical University .
We have organized internships for students of the Institute of Postgraduate Education in the past – the Institute of Advance Training for Physicians of the Kazakh-Russian Medical University . Our clinic holds seminars for doctors – specialists in different areas . Recently , we conducted a program for hepatitis and IVF , how to work with HIV positive patients , and how to treat patients with certain forms of infertility . Today , we are a center not only for Kazakhstani specialists , but for specialists from our near nieghbors : Uzbekistan , Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan . They come to us and are trained . In this cooperation we can greatly assist our partners .
What would you like to wish future doctors , specialists who choose this area in medicine , and couples who take care of their health and want to ensure the demographic growth in our country ? To our doctors I wish they would never stop pursuing achievement in their areas of expertise . Do not be satisfied , continue to learn . If a specialist believes that he / she knows everything , it is better to close his / her door and never step into the office again . A doctor must doubt , always be reading , speak foreign languages , ask questions and never be afraid to turn to colleagues to help with those incomprehensible cases . When an opinion becomes universally recognized , then you can be sure you can help . Otherwise , the price paid is a human life . These principles are the most important here . The main principle – to not harm is the patient ’ s safety principle ; even if something is done imprecisely correct , it is important not to cause harm . The second is to provide the most effective treatment – the use of all known principles . We should not say “ I don ’ t know this ”. We have to get to the bottom of a case and offer a suitable method of treatment . A doctor must learn constantly . If a day is lived without new knowledge received , then this day passed in vain professionally .
