Invest to kazakhstan and economic relations without properly mobilizing population and developing contacts between citizens. Along with the trade, the traditional cooperation areas are energy, education, business development, visa cooperation and others. Kazakhstan is interested in further enhancing interaction with the European Union in the energy sector. During the years of cooperation, Kazakhstan has established itself as a reliable and responsible energy partner of the EU. Kazakhstan is one of the five largest energy suppliers to Europe. In this context, one of the promising areas of our cooperation is the preparation and holding the international exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana, for which the theme is – Future Energy. Considering that the European Union has great experience in this area, as well as all the necessary innovative and technological opportunities, Kazakhstan welcomes the active participation of EU in this exhibition (the advanced achievements of the European Union will be presented within the EU Energy Days that will be held on 24-25 July 2017, at EXPO). Much attention is on the issues of scientific and educational training. Every year, thousands of Kazakhstani students study under the President’s program ‘Bolashak’ in the leading higher education institutions of the EU countries, and upon return apply their knowledge in the homeland. We have aimed to create a welcoming environment in our country for EU business men to open and run businesses. During the past few years, a number of major investment projects have been implemented in various areas of the industry. To date, over 6,000 economic entities with participation of European capital are registered in Kazakhstan, including joint ventures, representative offices of companies and banks. Having advanced technologies and modern innovations, European companies are able to participate in specific projects in Kazakhstan to be implemented as a part of the country’s modernization policy. It is not possible to expand the trade Kazakhstan has taken unilateral action to maximize easing visa restrictions for European citizens. Thus, since 1 January 2017, our country has introduced a visa- free regime for up to 30 days for citizens of all EU countries without exception. Kazakhstan’s government has also taken a range of measures to align national legislation with the European norms. In total, the conclusion of the new Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement with the European Union and its members will allow us to further enhance our bilateral interaction in this and other areas. At this stage, the main task is to complete the ratifying the EPCA by parliaments of all EU countries, after this the document will come into force (as of 30 May 2017 the EPCA is ratified by Latvia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Denmark, Finland and Austria). The early ratification of this document by all EU countries and its implementation will enable us to maximise all of its advantages. supported by EUROBAK 25
