DESTINATION kazakhstan compulsory social health insurance system in Kazakhstan On the eve of the introduction of the compulsory social health insurance system in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the World Monitor Magazine talked to the Minister of Health, Mr Yelzhan Birtanov, about its innovations. Yelzhan Birtanov, Minister of health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Since 1 July 2017, the country is beginning to introduce a system of compulsory health insurance, based on the joint responsibility of the state, employers and citizens. Starting from 1 January 2018, citizens of Kazakhstan and insured persons will receive medical services under the compulsory social health insurance program. Tell me, please, what are the plans to implement the packages and what will they include? The basic package includes preventive vaccinations, ambulance, medical assistance The amount of contributions and deductions per month for emergency indications, inpatient and inpatient medical care for socially significant diseases, as well as for diseases that are dangerous to others. It will be available to all citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Along with this, outpatient care will be provided with medicines for people who do not have the right to medical assistance in the general health insurance system until 2020, that is, before the introduction of universal declaration. The second is a package that includes medical assistance financed by mandatory insurance contributions and deductions to the Fund. It can be received by persons who are participants in the system of general medical insurance.
