Floating cities:
‘Ship of Freedom’
Wayaland
The project of a huge liner for 50,000 passengers with
an infrastructure for the city that was proposed back in
the 1990s. The city of floating pyramid buildings was invented by
the Italian Pierpaolo Lazarini, inspired by the architecture
of Japan and the ancient Mayans.
‘Sea oasis’ Seaorbiter
Floating resort - a project by designer Emerson Stepp for
the competition from the Institute of seasteading.
The ship laboratory was designed by French architect,
Jacques Rougerie, for a long-term study of the depths
of the sea.
