Audris Barcevicius
EUROBAK Chairman / President and CEO, Siemens Central Asia
Audris Barcevicius joined Siemens in 1995 as a marketing director for Siemens office in Lithuania. Prior to coming to
Kazakhstan, Audris served as the general director of Siemens Osakeyhtio Lithuanian Branch and a Member of the Board
of Siemens FinBaltics responsible for Siemens business in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. He is now the CEO of Siemens
in Central Asia. Audris holds an Executive MBA degree from Baltic Sea MBA Academy in Helsinki. He also completed
Siemens and Duke University Advanced Management Training Program (S3) followed by General Management Program.
Mark Smith
EUROBAK Deputy Chairman / Managing Partner, Deloitte Caspian Region
Mark joined Deloitte Caspian in April 2007, relocating from Edinburgh, Scotland, where he participated in the IFRS
conversion and demutualization of Standard Life PLC, which now lists on the FTSE 100. Prior to this, Mark worked with
another Big Four firm for over five years in both the UK and the Cayman Islands. Prior to becoming Deloitte Caspian
managing partner in June 2012, Mark was the head of the region’s Financial Services audit industry, actively engaged in
the audit of some of Kazakhstan’s largest financial institutions.
Victoria Simonova
EUROBAK Secretary / Partner, Dentons
Victoria is a partner at Dentons’ Almaty office. She has over 20 years of experience gained while working with
a number of international law firms in Kazakhstan. Victoria advises clients on a wide variety of Kazakhstan law
and international law issues, including litigation, corporate, subsurface use and employment matters. In 1998 she
graduated from the Higher Law School Adilet (with honors); and in 2005 - from the Duke University (North Carolina,
USA) with the LLM degree in Law. Victoria is a member of the Kazakhstan Bar Association (KazBar), Kazakhstan
Petroleum Lawyers Association and American International Petroleum Lawyers Association (AIPN). Victoria also
served as a member of the Board of Directors of the European Business Association of Kazakhstan (EUROBAK) for
the past few years.
Oleg Khanin
EUROBAK Treasurer / Chairman of the Management Board, Kommesk-Omir Insurance Company
Oleg Khanin worked as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Business Development since 2009. Mr. Khanin has been
working in the company since 1998. During this time he held the positions of Assistant Chairman of the Management Board for
Insurance Affairs, Auditor, Chief Underwriter of the Underwriting and Surveyors Department, Vice President for Insurance, Deputy
Chairman of the Management Board for Financial Affairs. Mr. Khanin’s career began in 1998 in Almaly District Tax Committee of
Almaty City. Mr.Khanin graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Management. He was trained in the Finance Academy at the
Government of the Russian Federation under the international professional program for insurance specialists. In 2008 Mr. Khanin
received the certificate confirming the international qualification of Certificated Accounting Practitioner (CAP) under the Certified
International Professional Accountant Program. In 2013 Mr. Khanin was awarded the Certificate of the Chartered Insurance Institute
and Honored Financier Medal for considerable contribution to the development of Kazakhstan financial sector.
Ibrahim Canliel
EUROBAK Board Member / Chief Financial Officer, Air Astana
Ibrahim Canliel is the CFO of Air Astana and has been with the company since its early stages in 2003. Since then he has
been in a range of senior management functions in the company prior to stepping up to his latest role in December 2017.
He started his career initially in the hospitality industry in Turkey during the 90s until he joined the aviation world with
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in 1998, briefly in the Gulf and consequently in Central Asia. He has been in Kazakhstan for the
past 20 years managing business units successfully during both upturns and downturns. Ibrahim has an undergraduate
degree in Economics from the Marmara University , an MBA degree from the Bogazici (Bosphorus) University. More
recently he has attended an executive programme at Cranfield University. Ibrahim is married and has two daughters.
