EUROBAK pages Mikayel Tovmasyan Managing Director, Pernod Ricard Kazakhstan Mikayel Tovmasyan works for Pernod Ricard Group as Managing Director of Group’s direct affiliate in Kazakhstan. Mikayel has been with Pernod Ricard since 2004, started with a position of lawyer at Yerevan Brandy Company. Prior to being promoted to his current position Mikayel was in charge of Legal and Corporate affair issues for Russia and Eastern European region, based in Moscow. He has been in Kazakhstan since July 2019 and joined Board of Directors of Eurobak in October last year. He studied Law at Yerevan State University and obtained his PhD degree in International Law from Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Mikayel is married and has a son and a daughter. Erlan Dosymbekov Managing Partner for Kazakhstan and CA, EY Erlan supervises a variety of EY projects in the region most of which are aimed at public sector reforms, including development of infrastructure, cleantech, regional integration, tax and customs administration and many others. Erlan has supported EUROBAK dialogue with the government side on a variety of issues, pertaining to the investment climate. Currently Erlan also co-chairs the FIC Investment Policy working group. Erlan is committed to the enhancement of the investment environment through his personal engagement in business and professional associations and EY corporate projects. Erlan is a part of EY Emerging Markets global network. Saken Zhumashev Managing Partner, KPMG in Kazakhstan and Central Asia Saken Zhumashev joined KPMG in 2008, and has been leading KPMG in Kazakhstan and Central Asia as a Managing Partner from 1 December 2018. Mr Zhumashev has professional experience for more than 15 years and most of his career devoted to KPMG where he started development of Management and Risk consulting and as a result led business to the largest consulting practice in Central Asia. Saken specializes on complex projects related to transformation and automatization of the companies’ operations, as well as on promoting institutional and economic reforms in Central Asia, Russian Federation and countries of the European Union. Yevgeniy Teremov Managing Director, SAP Kazakhstan Yevgeniy Teremov was appointed to the position of Managing Director in Kazakhstan in April 2019. Prior to his appointment to the current role, Yevgeniy spent 3 years as Global Account Director and was responsible for working with SAP’s strategic client Sovereign Wealth Fund «Samruk-Kazyna» JSC and its portfolio companies. Before joining SAP, Yevgeniy worked at the Center for Electronic Commerce of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan for eight years, where he held the positions of department director, member of the Board and Director General in different periods. Over 5 years of work under the leadership of Yevgeniy, the team managed to achieve impressive results in building the “e-MinFin” public financial management system based on SAP technologies. Sven-Olov Carlsson Honorary EUROBAK Board Member/ Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan Ambassador Sven-Olov Carlsson is a European diplomat with his professional origin in the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he worked from 1982 to 1996. Since then he has been working in different positions as an official of the European Commission and within the European External Action Service. During his career, he has been posted in the Swedish Embassies in Moscow, Tunis, Warsaw and Copenhagen. Within the Commission he has held positions in the areas of EU enlargement, in particular the accession of Poland, and in the sphere of foreign policy. Since 2010 Mr Carlsson has been working on relations with Russia, first in Brussels and during the period 2013-2018 in Moscow as Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Russia. Since October 2018 Mr Carlsson is Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is an economist by education and speaks English, Italian, French and Russian. Julie Kussidi EUROBAK Executive Director Julie started her career working for a European company. She has worked in various sectors including the quality and verification control programme with the Customs Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the oil and gas industry during times of massive privatization in Kazakhstan, and banking. As of November 1999, she has been in charge of the Secretariat Office of the European Business Association of Kazakhstan, working closely with the government of Kazakhstan. In this role with EUROBAK, she also works with European companies present and those planning to do business and invest in Kazakhstan. Her role also includes working with embassies represented in Kazakhstan as well as Kazakhstan embassies in other countries and the Delegation of the European Commission in Kazakhstan.
