Central Station (New York)
Grand Central Station – the oldest and most famous station ‘Big Apple’. It was built in 1871 and rebuilt and modernised later
several times. The original building of the Central Station was erected in the style of Beaux-Arts – eclecticism, combining
the traditions of the Italian Renaissance and the French Baroque. The waiting room is not only utilitarian and practical, but
striking in luxury: arched windows and columns resemble a vaulted temple. In the mid-90s of the last century, after the next
reconstruction, Grand Central became the largest in the world in terms of the number of platforms and tracks – 44 and 67,
respectively, and after completion of the third level construction there will be 48 platforms and 75 tracks at the station.

годов прошлого века после очередной реконструкции GrandCentral стал самым крупным в мире по числу платформ и путей - 44
