8 ADAPTATIONS
THAT HELP TO AVOID ACCIDENTS
The driver's brain is the best emergency response device. But sometimes you can
add to it a few more useful and inexpensive gadgets, and these will allow you to
feel more confident on the road and help out in an unpleasant moment.
Anti-sleep
For those who do not get enough sleep, or often travel long
distances, especially on the highway, there is a number of
devices that can pull you out of Morfei’s embrace. A device
called "Anti-sleep" is attached behind the ear: just as soon as
the driver begins to nod, the device begins to emit nasty sounds
that will wake anyone. Cheap Chinese gadgets sound false
alarm, which can infuriate an already tired driver. But a device
that is more expensive can adapt to the usual movements of
the head and give off a signal only in the case of obvious need.
Other similar devices are mounted on the windshield, in the
same place as the DVR, and monitor the driver's eyes. If he
turned away from the road, began to fall asleep, or is blinking
too often – he will enjoy a loud alarming signal.
Also on the market, there are rings and bracelets that monitor
the pulse and work ahead of time – they make it clear that the
body already needs rest. Also recently, there are “anti-falling”
mobile apps - they are generally free.
