very year there are 31,000 exhibitions
around the world with more the 4.4
million exhibiting companies taking part.
Those of us who believe in the power of face to face
marketing need to champion and celebrate effective
exhibiting and, as importantly, the creative agencies
whose vision and expertise helps deliver it.
Gone are the days when exhibitions were about
handshakes, smiles and drinks. In today’s wired world
visitors expect experience, connectivity, delight and
interactivity. In the modern marketing mix exhibiting
effectiveness is about more than architecture, more
than simply good design; it’s about engagement,
technology, sustainability and story-telling.
What has been particularly fascinating about
these first World Exhibition Stand Awards is the
extent to which impressive design comes to life
through “activation”, but also that often it is the
SPONSORS AND PARTNERS:
videos that accompany the entry, that shine a light
on the dynamism, movement and interactivity of the
winning stand and experiences.
This book can, of course, only capture a fraction
of the creativity and engagement of the best stands

The good are stunning to look at, the best creative
meaningful experiences that prove exhibitions work.
I do hope it also fires imagination for the future to
