How the entries are judged
World Exhibition Stand
Awards 2020 was open to
any exhibition stand at an
event between between 1
September 2018 and 30
September 2019.
Entry process
Entries are submitted online
and can be client, agency or
event organiser nominated.
Each project can enter multiple
appropriate categories.
Submissions include information
on client brief, market
sector, creative solution,
activation and results
accompanied by relevant
supporting material in the
form of videos, photographs
and client testimonials.
Judging
A panel of independent expert
judges from the global
exhibition and events industry
assessed each entry
within its category context.
No judge was allowed to
vote on any entry or category
where they had a conflict
of interest, whether this related
to the event itself, design
agency or client.
The judges’ scoring reflects
design & build, creativity,
impact and marketing
effectiveness.
Scoring
In each category there are
multiple prizes available.
Diamond, Platinum, Gold,
Silver and Bronze. Diamond
and Platinum awards require
minimum overall scores so
may not be awarded in all
categories if scores are not
high enough. There is only 1
Diamond Award per category
and a maximum of 3 Platinum
awards per category.
Gold, Silver and Bronze accolades
also require minimum
overall judges’ scores, but
multiple instances of each are
possible in each category.
Categories where the
scores do not meet minimum
thresholds or in the
judges’ view the entries are
of insufficient quality were
withdrawn from this edition
of the Awards. In other categories
not all prizes were
given, reflecting the judges’
overall marks for entrants in
that category.
