The BRICS Summit in Kazan is the premier political event of the year . Heads of state and their representatives from 36 countries – BRICS members , aspiring members , and leaders from Africa , Latin America , the Middle East , and Southeast Asia – will gather to make pivotal decisions that will influence the trajectory of the world ’ s most dynamic regions .

In its 13th edition , this major event on blockchain and cryptocurrencies expects more than 10,000 attendees and 200 speakers . The event is hosted by the African Development Bank , the UN Economic Commission for Africa , and the UN Development Programme . It gathers policymakers , development practitioners , academics and emerging researchers to discuss the challenges confronting Africa and present solution-oriented research .
