In 2015, we ended any links to facilities that were involved with canned hunting, predator interaction and breeding. However, this year, we took the step even further! You can read about this step in our press release:
Animal Welfare: UK volunteer organisation bans all unethical volunteer projects
We then very recently also took the next step of removing volunteer projects that are linked to orphanages. This was done to make sure that child welfare is always the highest priority when volunteering abroad. You can read here our press release:
Child Welfare: UK volunteer organisation bans all orphanage volunteer projects
We believe in collaborating with experienced organisations and people in their field to make sure that volunteer projects are conducted in a sustainable and positive manner. We have always believed that volunteering should be about how you can assist with your time and skills at a project abroad that really needs them.
You can find our Ethical Volunteering policy here.
Make sure to spread the word and create the awareness needed, so people don't support projects abroad that have little to no conservation or development value to the local communities and animals!
