The Island Conservation project in the Seychelles is looking for volunteers to join them this coming sea turtle nesting season starting in October and lasting till March.

Cousin Island is the most important nesting site for Hawksbill sea turtles in the West Indian Ocean and they could thus use the extra hands to help these endangered turtles on their way.

As a volunteer you will get to live and work on a remote island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, where the wildlife far outnumber people. You will learn from trained conservationists that will teach you about sea turtles, how to tag them and partake in nesting activities.

You can join from October to March for 3-4 weeks on certain date specified on the project page here, where you also can find relevant info such as costs, accommodation etc.
