Destin has so many different activities that kept us busy throughout the entire vacation. It has the Destin Commons, jet skiing, mopeds, and so many restaurants along the beach. My favorite activity of them all was going on the mopeds. When I first arrived at the mopeds shop, it concerned me that you did not need a license to drive any of the bikes that they had. You could have little to no experience and they would still allow you to ride the mopeds up and down the streets, although the bikes did not allow you to exceed 45 miles per hour. It was something about being on the mopeds that gave me this thrill that I never received when I would drive in a car to different places.
We decided to stay along the shoreline where the house was located. To the left were all the restaurants and water activities and to the right were all the mansions and other houses. Our first stop was down towards the mansions. There was one particular place that always caught my eye but every time we passed by it we were trapped in cars, so I decided to stop there. The view was beautiful, the houses had an overview of a giant lake and directly in front of that was the ocean. There was a small gazebo for people to stop and rest so I decided to take a better look at it. Everyone was complaining because I wanted to stop which meant that they all had to. I could hear them talking about how boring the location was and that they just wanted to keep driving around. When I got off the moped and stepped inside the gazebo, I looked around and I felt on top of the world, I was so high off the ground I could see everything, the houses, the shops, the ocean and the thousands of people strolling the beach. Since I was the only girl, all the boys constantly wanted pictures and Dom would always ask me to take a pictures of him and the four other guys. They were all saying how boring the stop was going to be yet here they all were begging me to take pictures for them. I never wanted to leave, but since we were only given 3 hours with the mopeds, we unfortunately had to.
