won 7-0.
As we walked out of the field when the final whistle blew, everyone had a smile on their faces. I loved it. We rested up for next 2 hours as other teams played their games. We ate food before we played the next game. Next game was better than the previous game. We won 2-1 as I scored both goals. The players were getting more excited and before we know it, we were already in semifinal since others team had knocked others team out. Our next game was after an hour, so I told others to rest. Our semifinal game was against Worcester Massachusetts and I knew it was going to be tough. We started off our match easy. We defended like we never had before. The game was harder than the previous matches. About 10 minutes were remaining for the game to be finished and I knew we had to do something and score a goal. Just one goal would give us the lead. They got a free kick against us and I was there praying to god that they don’t score. The right footed cross was cleared up and the ball came close to me. It was an opportunity that was knocking on a door. I knew it was the only chance since other team players were up on the other side of the field. I ran with the ball on full speed before launching a left footed cross to Ram who put the ball behind the net with a perfect header. We celebrated the game like we just won the final. I was relieved. We defended till the last minute. The whistle blew and we won, my teammates came together around me hugging and congratulating each other. I loved the feeling.
We were in final now. I never thought we would get this far, but we did. We had our final game against Scranton Pennsylvania. They were the better team out of all the other team there. Like before we huddle up and I told the guys to give 200%. It was the final and we all had to do good in order to win the final and lift the trophy. We started just like before easy and the game got intense. The people around us watching the game were hyped. There were about 100 people around the field. I opened up the score with a header goal from a cross. We knew it wouldn’t be easy to win. We defended with all of our energy left in us. After scoring the first goal I was happy we were leading. After 15 minutes, Gopal scored from corner kick heading the ball in the back of the net. I knew we could win now, but the other team started pressuring, but we never gave up. About 10 minutes remaining in the game with the score 2-0, I fired a right footed shot from outside the box on the right side of the keeper which found its way in the back of the net. I told everyone to defend as we dribbled and wasted time. The referee blew the whistle. I got down on my knees in the middle of the field as my teammates came running at me, pinning me in the ground. “we did it, we did it”. We won the final, we did something that I thought was impossible. Lifting the trophy was my teammates was the happiest moment of my life.
