1. Rubbing Out an Arm R Seal Finish: After the final coat of Arm R Seal, how long would you let it cure? And, how would you rub it out for a gloss finish and how would you rub it out for a satin finish? Jeff David's Answer: While I do lots of rubbing out techniques on lacquer, my approach to rubbing out Arm R Seal is different. Lacquer is a much harder (or should I say brittle) finish and behaves differently. You can wet sand and polish or buff lacquer with excellent results, because each layer melts into the previous one.
