BEING CHRIS HEMSWORTH ' S " Wife "
F rom having her own bikini business to recently becoming a Stunt Actress it ’ s been an adventurous ride for Ilana in the past few years . While setting up to film a Tomb Raider themed advertising video for her bikini label which involved some action scenes , she discovered a new love for stunts . Getting a taste of the action quite quickly she ’ s now well and truly addicted to the adrenalin ! These days being set on fire , hit by cars and falling off towers has become the normal every day life for her and she loves it all !
With a background in dance , cheerleading , martial arts , rock climbing and boxing her skills were already wide and varied . Discovering that the art of stunts encompassed lots of her skills , a ticket to Hollywood was quickly purchased . Completing a two week intensive advanced stunt course and a ‘ Fighting for film ’ workshop with famous Stunt Co-ordinators Simon Rhee and Jeff Wolfe , helped start the dream . Staying in LA to complete three months of Judo and Jujitsu training at 87 Eleven in LA , one of the best Stunt gyms around topped off her new skill set . Training and hanging out with the incredibly friendly and talented stunt performers she met helped even more .
When she landed back in her beloved Aussie town of the Gold Coast she threw herself into training full time to become a qualified MEAA Australian Stunt Action Person which enabled her to legally work in Australia . Not long after being graded as a stunt professional she also underwent acting training and was cast in a few youtube action videos as an action actress . Performing stunts and acting went very much hand in hand .
More recently she performed as a double for Chris Hemsworth ’ s wife ,
Elsa Pataky on a Netflix series shot in and around the Coast . Now back into training at AP8 , a specialised stunt gym , it ’ s safe to say Ilana has found her passion and isn ’ t slowing down anytime soon
