CLARITY & ORGANISATION
You need really clear clarity for both your life and
your business. This is about working out the things
that are going great, and things that aren’t. Having
the really big discussions on exactly what you want
from your life, for example where do you want to be
in 5 years time. If we don’t have the clear vision, it
makes it impossible to get a great strategy in place on
“How” we get there. Great and clear clarity gets us off
the roller coaster ride and allows us to move in that
positive direction, being forward.
Question 8.
What does a typical day look like for Tracey Mathers
A typical day is I usually wake up at about 5 o'clock.
I am a morning person, I love mornings. So I'm very
happy to jump straight out of bed and get into it. I am
very routine orientated, so my bed is made, I have a
two-story home, so upstairs is tidied and done. Then
I usually take my dog Brandi for a little walk, then I
come back, have my shower and breakfast I read my
latest book for 30-60 minutes and then I'm ready for
my day. I work from home so my rule has been since
giving myself this luxury that I have to do my hair and
make-up and be dressed ready, not still in my PJ’s
at midday. For me it put’s me in the right mindset to
start my day. My day has been pre planned so I know
straight away what I am starting on. I love how varied
my days are, seeing clients, working on new projects,
helping people out, catching up with friends, or just
being in my zone.
Question 9
So what are you reading at the moment?
I'm reading a few different books, which I won't tell
you the names because they're for my TM Vault Book
club, but I am enjoying at the moment ‘Becoming
Michelle Obama”. Incredible lady and her strength
and kindness motivates me.
Question 10.
How do you personally define business success?
Money, freedom, influence, something else?
I think business success for me is about happiness.
It's about waking up every day and being excited
about my day. I don't think it matters how much
money you have, if you wake up and you dread what
the day holds, that's not success. To me, it's about
loving what you do and getting the satisfaction within
yourself for what you do. I think that's when you've
made it. I love those conversations and when I get
messages from clients telling me what a difference
their days are now, how much clearer, happy and
motivated they are, I want to do this on a larger
scale. I hate the thought that there are woman out
there unhappy, feeling depressed and unsure where
to begin to change that.
Realistically we all need money, we need to pay bills
and live, but money is not what floats my boat, it's
definitely results, and loving what I do. If I didn't
love what I did, I'd just stop doing it.
Question 11.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
People laugh at this but I actually am, well, I was
very much an introvert. I used to second guess
myself constantly, I used to put so much stress
on myself. I used to have so much self-doubt
and I missed out on so much fun on my journey.
So I would say to myself chill out kid, have fun,
stop worrying about things that will probably
never happen, know that you can’t always control
outcomes so just do your best, be consistent and
persistent and enjoy the ride. Oh and hang with
people smarter than you always.
