TAKE NOTES TO
CREATE, WRITE &
PUBLISH YOUR BOOK
Do you take notes? Do you centralise your notes? Do you allow time to connect the
dots? Can simply being more methodical about your note taking make creating,
writing and publishing a book easier?
Dyan Burgess thinks that it does.
I
t is no secret that some of
the greatest note takers
of our time are also serial
authors. Names that come
to mind are people like Arianna
Huffington, Richard Branson,
James Patterson, Gretchen Rubin,
Tim Ferriss and J. K. Rowling.
Regardless of the answer, there
seems to be a strong relationship
between note taking and
publishing books. Therefore, the
question you should ask yourself
is “Do I take notes?”
If not, perhaps you will after
reading this article. Note taking,
in my experience is the single
most powerful step to enable
building the most effective and
efficient foundation to create
published works. For book
creation, writing and ultimately
publishing, you may like to
consider these five ideas.
