It soon became obvious that 24 years of working with senior management teams on some of their critical brand challenges had equipped her with a different set of rules. WHY DID YOU WANT TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS? I turned 40yrs old, had my first baby 2 months later, and was getting no sleep!! I knew I needed to take better care of my skin as I was showing major signs of aging. I really felt at a crossroad about whether to succumb to society’s pressure (i.e cosmetic procedures) or take the natural path to aging, which better fitted my life philosophy. I chose the latter, and was so fascinated that I ended up getting trained up as a formulator. I spent 2 years creating a range of luxurious products, and launched Rubifresh! Last year, 22 Women’s Network Magazine five years into the Rubifresh journey, we undertook a major rebrand. We completed this rebrand mid-2017, our social engagement grew massively, and our sales grew by 73% second half of the year! We are now talking to a number of major partners including airlines, retailers and spas, who share similar values and can help us reach greater numbers of women with our real beauty message. GIVE US YOUR CEO WISDOM. 1. Surround yourself with people you trust who can (and will) challenge your point of view – it leads to better outcomes, and makes you a better manager (and person). 2. Remain authentic to yourself & your values, you cannot succeed if you are trying to walk in someone else’s shoes. Let’s face it, you have to look at yourself in the mirror every day. 3. Keep sight of the big picture... the vision
