I press towards the mark for the price of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
There are two kinds of presses. A press of the oil in the wine press for the anointing to birth out of a place of the unknown for an assignment, this oil is applied that God may get the glory out of us and acknowledge the greatness inside of us. This happens only when one has been squeezed through the pressures of life, so that one may pass the test of pressure ; the power in the oil may be produced when the fullness of times comes for the due and reaping season. This type of press is when you have encountered Judas and he has been assigned to your season so God can move you from the wilderness to Canaan. Judas’s kiss is to betray and reject you in your hour of trial. This press is a must to make one strong in faith, hope and most of all God.
The second press is when Paul’s renouncing all of his accomplishments in the world to possess the kingdom, while losing those things that easily beset you. Paul had to realize that he must receive the crown of life and no longer become bondage or a crutch to the world. As we walk through this ungodly and dark world as the salt of the earth, we face resistance from the world in righteousness, a dense weak foundation that is exhausting where weariness is inevitable.
There is a tremendous brick that falls on the righteous that gives us the earthly pressure in order to murder our faith, rob our hope and kill our joy, from the view of society they must dictate how you go through the pressures of life, we now want to be life coaches instead of disciples. Society says we must go along the secular pace and not in the press that will force us towards the direction of God’s will, instead they feed us with addictive lifestyles, medicate us so our minds will becomes paralyzed and dead while suffering in silence. The world says you are a god within yourself, but the bible says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not to your
