Magnesium
Why You Need It!
I know it sounds like another ‘must
have’ and frankly we hear everyday the things
we must have and must do.
However, as women who are striving to
maintain a healthy life, our Magnesium intake
is like our secret weapon to work with us to
help ensure a longer life and ability to be active
longer and stronger!
Do you know the health
benefits of Magnesium?
Do you know that every cell in your body
contains Magnesium, and the cells need
Magnesium to function?
Magnesium is needed for the overall function of
your body - it is also essential in the regulation
of blood sugar and blood pressure! Which
means getting enough Magnesium is crucial to
your overall good health.
Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)
Some preliminary studies link low Magnesium levels
with childhood ADHD. Magnesium helps reduce
hyper excitability in the central nervous system by
regulating concentrations of calcium, potassium and
sodium via ion channels in nerve cells. It’s also a
cofactor for inhibitory neurotransmitters like GABA.
