Road Trip
Check your engine oil weekly when the
car is warm and on level ground. Stop
the engine and wait a few minutes for
the oil to settle, remove the dipstick
and wipe it clean. Push the dipstick
all the way in, wait a second, and then
withdraw it and check the level. The oil
should be between the two marks.
Checking your car’s oil level is the single
most important thing you can do to extend
the life of your car’s engine
Oil is the lifeblood of your car. Without it, you
wouldn’t make it three miles.
Oil keeps your engine clean inside, helps warm
it up, and helps keep it cool. Most important,
your oil keeps engine internals lubricated so
metal never actually touches metal.
