What do you see as the difference between
being a Graphic Designer and an Artist?
Graphic Design is in a fast-paced environment.
What would you say you took away from your
experience as a Graphic Designer?
Graphic art is more of a business, often
producing something that is someone else’s
vision. Art is more of a creation, or a personal
vision that is being shared.
I was once told that you cannot be an artist
and a business person. I feel you can!
I feel you can market yourself. I must admit that
I am a little shy about sharing my art, because
it is never good enough.
This feeling is something that so many artists
struggle with. I never finish a painting and say
wow! I am critical of my own work.
What were some of the other career paths
you have tried?
One of the jobs I created was Stephanie Bond
Design and Photography.
I was encouraged by friends that felt I took
great photos, to make a career out of taking
wedding photos. It is great to be a part of happy
occasions; however, it is a lot of work.
I was hired for 8-9 weddings and wanted
