The Beauty of Women is Being Born With the Heart of a Warrior The Strength of a Champion and the Gentleness of an Angel Annie G She-Vivor You are a survivor - we all are! Most of us will never be part of the well known TV series “SURVIVOR” with its exotic locations, challenging stunts and videoed victories or losses. Does that mean our challenges are any less difficult or deserving of being witnessed and efforts applauded? Some of these challenges may seem hardly worth mentioning. But, for those of us working our way through, do we not often wonder if we will SURVIVE. Of course not, all of our challenges are tragic, some are wonderful and positive but they too can be overwhelming if we face them alone or unprepared. Surviving Loss! Summer 2017 seems to have been a time of turmoil for many, and as we head into Autumn, feelings of loss are affecting how we move forward. Summer 2017 will be remembered for the fires in BC, the violent outbursts in the US, and also loss of loved ones, famous, and for many, personal friends and family. In a moment, lives were ripped in half and replaced with a feeling of total loss of control. We have two choices; 1) Lay down and crumble, or 2) Get up, do great things! Nobody prepares us for the sludge in life, but this is exactly what being human is about; the good, the bad, the painful, the happy, the sad, the everything-in-between. We can choose to sit down and surrender to our current circumstances, or we can get up, dust ourselves off, hold our heads up high and move forward. It will hurt. We’ll feel wobbly at first. But we can do it. We are capable. We are strong. We still have a lot of love inside of our hearts to do great things. 28
