Managing a legal team , handling virtual school , along with volunteering at school and coaching for her kids ’ sports teams , may not leave Julie a lot of free time . But , it is what she chose .
“ I choose to spend my time doing these things , and I have what I wanted . I always say , if you want something done , give it to a busy person .”
On starting out in the industry as a woman “ Young women starting in this industry ( or any industry ) need to know that it ’ s okay to ‘ want it all ’ – whatever that means to them – but that the balance in having it all may shift over the years . Whether it ’ s a career and a family life or additional certifications and education , expect that the balance in their lives won ’ t always be equal and that ’ s okay . As long as young women are ready to embrace that fluidity that comes with balancing it all , they will be better for it .“
