Ms. Cliffe pointed it out how crucial it is to inspire young girls to pursue politics by “not only focusing on [so called] ‘women's issues’ but on the issues that affect everyone. We have to be agents of general change as well. It’s all about discovering the better balances of perspectives and visions.”
We finished our conversation on how to get started on changing the world. (A massive feat but Ms. Cliffe has been able to do it!). Ms. Cliffe revealed how the first step is always to “just get out there: volunteer as much as you can.” It’s so important to “be politically active and to work within the community.”
Speaking with Sarah Cliffe was incredible. You could hear it in her voice how devoted she is to her influential work. Her career has given me so many ideas for my own! She is definitely one of coolest people I’ve ever met.
Special thanks to Martín De Greiff for putting me in touch with his stepmother, Sarah Cliffe.
