ABOUT THE ARTIST: I   am an Oregon photographer with a passion for landscapes and wild- life. I love the natural world. I feel it is too often left out of our daily lives and that we all need it to be balanced emotionally and spiri- tually.  I grew up in rural Calaba- sas, California, and I have also lived in New York City. I love be- ing able to experience as many places and cultures as I can as a way of expanding and enriching my own understanding of life. My photography often shows animals in their natural habitats and interacting with each other. My goal is to remind people that animals are sentient beings with as much right to life as ourselves. I also use my photography as a starting point for a piece, add- ing textures, brushstrokes, or other exposures to create more reso- nance or meaning.
