japanese artist keiko saito japanese traditional hair accessories Kanzashi is hair accessories for woman of Japanese culture and is a traditional handicraft. Kanzashi, which I make with cloth using the technique of Tsumami-zaiku work, is used for a kimono called Chirimen and Habutae. Cloth called Chirimen is the technique of the textile, which issues unevenness by applying a twist to thread. Kanzashi made from this becomes a soft pretty puffy (or full). Called Habutae, this is high-quality silk fabrics used for the lining cloth of a kimono, etc. If it used, it’s glossy, and it will be beautiful and elegant. Using the cloth, I attach a change of a delicate color for every petal, and give the beauty of a color, the pleasure of change of tone to a flower. I think that change is a vitality, a feeling of a lively motion, pleasure, and beauty. I may take the number of petals into consideration as a flower which decorates at a motif the place where a head is sacred with a chrysanthemum, a plum, a cherry tree, etc., all of which are loved in Japan. I hope you enjoy Tsumami-zaiku work. The Tsumami-zaiku traditional hair accessories are gorgeous to wear for all occasions. wom en ART
