wom en ART ghana - based artist manisha vedpathak contemporary abstract My chosen mediums are acrylics and oils on canvas. The most important element of my work is the vivid color which represents the life force of fullness and positive energy. Inspired by anything and everything in this universe, I experiment with various techniques of painting, not limiting myself to any particular style. My greatest strength, however, lies in abstracts with and without texture which portray my visions through color, form and depth. My background in Engineering helps me with composition and shapes. The earthy colors used in my paintings not only connect me emotionally to my Indian origins but also depict the warmness of the African continent where I now live. My paintings create positive vibes and bring the viewer the sense of joy I feel when painting them. My recent series of work is a combination of abstract and figurative style. Having lived in Ghana, West Africa for over a decade, the influence of Ghanaian culture and art will be seen in my art. wom en ART
