WATER is the essence of all life, without it we would simply not exist. What a profound connection we all have to it, yet, like most things this grandiose, we humans (especially in country’s like the United States where we have had a never ending supply of fresh water, have a tendency to take it for granted). We must be fiercely cognizant of how utterly important it is; that we respect water and care for it as we care for ourselves. My artwork is symbolic to my inner feelings of water, in that I allowed myself to feel the artwork and “allowed” it to ebb and flow as I was producing it. Born under the “water” sign Pisces, it came natural to me to focus on a water theme and the inclusion of the water foliage as dancing and dreaming - wild and free within the swaying motion of the water, it’s beautiful, mysterious and peaceful. Human flourishing parallels our earth and water doing the same, therefore cherishing it must simply become more of a way of life rather than a mere “awareness” campaign. As our human existence depends on it.
