american artist Laurie Search Photography I have been taking pictures almost all of my life, but it is only in the last eight years or so that it’s taken on a whole new meaning and importance to me. After leaving my “regular” job because of health problems, I turned to photography, and it truly saved me. I am a very emotional person, and with photography, I not only get to express myself; I also have the pleasure of forgetting about all of my problems when I’m out shooting. The same applies when I’m doing digital post-production on a piece. The world disappears for a while. wom en ART page 29
