american artist Linda Puiatti oil painting In my work I seek a place of solitude and peace, a place where one can harmonize with nature. A place remembered. I use color, light and shadow to express my feelings about nature and the drama of a moment. My paintings seek to create an emotional connection with the viewer and encourage participation in place and time. I invite the viewer to breathe in the air and feel the color. To be reminded of some place. I paint primarily with oils on canvas in my Holmes, New York studio. Field studies painted outdoors in the Hudson Valley, the farmlands of Belgium and France or the coast of Cape Cod and the Eastern Coastline give way to larger studio works. wom en ART page 34
