Forms Found in Nature
dried found on my daily walks. These collections of natural
forms are photographed in doors, placed on a reflective
surface using natural light. I create still life compositions
often recomposing them many times, looking for shapes,
lines, colors and textures, to find an arrangement that
pleases my eye and the lighting is right.
With today’s editing technology, the colors, shapes and
textures become vibrant, allowing the viewer to appreciate
nature’s forms in a new and different way.

My photographs are portraits/still lifes of forms found
in nature, from flowers, dried leaves, twigs, to the bark of
trees in their various stages of growth and natural decline.
With a BFA from Parsons School of Design in NYC, I have
worked in the arts my entire life, from printmaking to bronze
sculpting to architectural design. Photography is now my
preferred medium. My work is about seeing – seeing
things like they haven’t been seen before.
