website american artist bonny willett ART abstract & figurative sculpture Although I have worked in a large variety of art media, sculpture excites me the most. Some sculptures can be made rather quickly, but I prefer working on a piece for a long period of time. The stone, wood or bronze process in making a sculpture is very labor intensive and time consuming. There is, however, no hurrying to complete the piece before the paper or paint dries! My sculpture incorporates the elegance I see in nature and the human form. I interpret this elegance with flowing, clean and uncomplicated lines. I enjoy humor and often include a bit of whimsy in my work. I have used a variety of media to this aim. I currently work mostly in clay and wax, using the lost wax method to make my bronze and aluminum pieces. Using this method, I have recently created two-piece forms. I enjoy the ability to reshape the sculptural form by moving these pieces. wom en
