etsy american artist I cindy ginter of potterygod was raised to look forward to watching Saturday morning cartoons, reading Dr. Seuss stories, drawing imaginary creatures, and taking in the southern California sun. All these formative experiences influence my whimsical pottery, unusual shapes, fun textures and very bright colors of sun and sea. I took some local classes at the local 577 foundation in Perrysburg, Ohio, where Edith Franklin helped me to form the basic skills to create pots. She was known as the “La Grande Dame of the Arts” and the “Grandmother of Ceramics,” of Toledo’s flourishing Ceramic scene, and to her I will be forever grateful for her insistence that I look at my pots in a critical way and finish them like I was a master of the craft. blog facebook
