from the editor creative space Mine needs some improvement. These days I have my daughter clung to me (I’m a baby-wearer of my 4 month old) or she is next to me in her bassinet. My other daughter, age three, sits next to me and draws … on far too many surfaces sometimes. Sometimes it’s on my desk, sometimes it’s on paper, sometimes it’s on her legs. It happens. Art happens. “Tattoos” (on her) happen. Sometimes I get lost on Pinterest saving images of what my dream studio would look like. Would the window to the world reveal an ocean? Trees that change colors with the seasons (there’s not much “change” here in Florida when it comes to seasons. We have hot and hotter seasons with one or two mildly cold days that are freezing by Florida standards). Would the view look out toward a bustling city life? I’m not certain. I have far too many loves of this world to pin down just one view, one room, one “look.” It’s perhaps this love of so much … of too much at times that makes my art vary so greatly. I find inspiration and love everywhere. I also create art to go against a feeling or experience. From the onslaught of American politics and divisiveness latel 䰁$
