A finger poking into the cage, invading its private space. Animals across the country (and world) are overpopulated, mistreated, unwanted, left to repopulate recklessly ... This image, to me, captures the feelings of isolation animals may feel while sitting in a cage, in a strange environment with unusual sounds and people constantly poking and prodding them.
