scottish artist Janet Fraser Mckinlay mixed media, digital art Originally from Edinburgh, Janet studied Textile Design in the Borders of Scotland and spent over three decades designing both within the Knitwear Industry as well as independently. She latterly taught for ten years in Primary schools, becoming particularly involved in Art, Design, Technology and Computer Skills. After an early retirement in 2015 due to sever work-related stress Janet returned to her roots, and started producing her own work again, combining drawing, painting, photography and digital manipulation. Becoming a practising wom en ART page 24 artist again was in itself healing and had a profound effect on her work which at present uses bright colours and light hearted subject choices.
