indian artist Shachi Srivastava acrylic, sharpie The Bull in Gond I am a self-taught Artist from India, currently residing in USA. Painting and learning new Art forms is my passion. I find art in simple, everyday things; often overlooked and ignored; emotions and sometimes certain events which touch my heart and soul deeply, I shape them into my canvas. I always strive to learn something new and different, appreciate the beauty around me, love bright colors and even use them. I started painting as a hobby and stress reliever during the days when I worked as a Software Engineer, but now it has become an integral part of my life, my passion to create is growing stronger day by day. Rudrani India is very rich when it comes to Arts and Art Forms, be it Madhubani Art from Mithila region, or Warli Art from Maharashtra, or Gond Art from Madhya Pradesh and there are many more incredible art forms which I am sure will captivate you just as they have captivated me. Art has no boundaries. My intent is just to create and celebrate the Folk Arts from any region, or cou ntry. My Folk Art/Tribal Art works comprise of my passion to learn and explore with a touch of Madhubani, Warli, Gond, Kalamkari, Zentangle, Native American and African Art designs and patterns. I am still learning and will continue this journey of exploring Tribal/Folk Arts.
