Special Feature | 9 taking hold of the baton and “continuing to build ourselves up in our most holy faith , praying in the Holy Ghost, keeping ourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life, and of some have compassion, making a difference” Jude 1:20-25 “My mother taught me how to discover my identity, discover my gifts and my talents and pursue my purpose in Christ .” My mother taught me how to discover my identity, discover my gifts and my talents and pursue my purpose in Christ and become a resource birthing all that God has put in me and I’ve never departed from that, it’s now my responsibility to use my spiritual gifts and with the help of the Holy Spirit turn it into practical resources to provide for my family and for the support and help of needs for the continued building of God’s Kingdom, His Government here on earth and I’m part of His Government. Therefore I am learning that in Christ I’m not limited to what the world says I can and can’t do, I’m also part of God’s Kingdom and I choose to use my experiences, gifts, talents and skills to serve God beyond a system that has limitations. My mother was my mentor, as she taught me always to go back to God and discover my purpose in Christ. However, if you don’t reflect that godly part of your life before your children as a standard for good living, how do you expect them to model it? Whether you’re a biological mother, a guardian, a foster parent, an adoptive parent or a spiritual parent, if you’ve been given a child to nurture, make the most of the role and responsibility so that they can continue the work of Salvation and when you pass on the baton, they won’t look at it as if it
