Decisions and Synchronicities
Have you ever felt like you were being drawn to something? In 2013, I felt that I was being guided to Reiki, a natural Japanese technique of relaxation and stress reduction which also promotes healing. I tried a session and the deep relaxation and sense of peace I had afterwards amazed me. I knew this healing energy could make a difference for people.
When I started my Reiki business full-time, I had no idea of the many blessings that would come my way or the learning curve I would have. My biggest discovery was the feeling of fulfillment I experienced by helping people and animals. One of my clients, a young Autistic boy, was having a meltdown and commented that he wanted to go to“ Diane’ s magic hands.” Another client commented that she doesn’ t know where she would be without the Reiki sessions she had received from me. When I hear words like this, my heart fills with joy and gratitude!
This last year has been a year of growth for me. I learned during the process of starting my own business that once I made a decision, all kinds of synchronicities appeared. Last April I was invited to attend the spring Womanition Biz Brigade. I had never heard of it before. This person only had one ticket left and the event was sold out.
I quickly decided I was going, came to the event and met so many wonderful people. I had a phone conversation with one of the women I had met and, during our call, she told me to phone Dorothy Briggs and tell her that she recommended that I be in the Womanition Magazine coming out in September. I decided to make the phone call and I was in the magazine! None of this would have happened without making decisions. Make decisions quickly and change them slowly.
Knowing I would need help when I started my business, I decided to hire a business coach and mentor. I chose someone I knew, who mentors new business owners, and was growing her own successful business. As I continue to work with her, she influences me as she leads by example and is a woman that I respect and look up to. With her expertise, she teaches me, guides me, encourages me, stretches my comfort zone and helps me to think like a business owner.
